The Fellowship

A short video about the fellowship process.

What’s it like to be a part of the fellowship community?

If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on it, I would use the first 55 minutes to formulate the right question. Once I’ve identified the right question I can solve the problem in 5 minutes.

The Fellowship

Each year the Mira Fellowship accepts a small cohort from across the globe with visions of our cultural future. Over the course of six months we help them frame, research, test, and formulate this vision into a clear story and an actionable plan. Our future is built from the set of specific actionable ideas available at any one time. The Mira Fellowship exists to make sure there are compassionate actionable visions that include all humans.

Deliverables

At the end of the six months, each Fellow will present their reframed social vision and layout the specific tested steps necessary to implement.

  • The simple story of their future.

  • The actions it will take to get there.

Commitment & Support

The fellowship will require significant commitment from each Fellow. Many cohort participants will choose to stay at their full-time job as we do not provide salary level compensation. The components of the fellowship include:

  • Coaching: Each Fellow will receive remote coaching support weekly or every other week depending on Fellow needs and the timing within the fellowship.

  • Cohort Meeting: Fellows will meet online monthly or bimonthly for check-ins, support, and brainstorms throughout the Fellowship.

  • Cohort Collaboration: Each Fellow will be paired with another fellow to provide ongoing thought partnership and accountability.

  • Summits: Fellows will gather for 3 virtual summits (November, February, and April), and an optional in person community summit (usually in September).

  • Micro-Grants: Fellows will have access to micro-grants be used to develop alternative perspectives and immerse in their work.

  • Testing: Fellows must live test their action plan and gather result data.
